Press release – For immediate release
Gilberte Bussière, CND, is back in Canada!
Montreal, June 6, 2014
Sister Gilberte Bussière, CND, who was abducted in the Extreme North of Cameroon on April 5 and released on June 1, is now back in Canada. She arrived earlier today at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport. The sisters of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame are united with her family in giving her a warm welcome!
Sister Gilberte is in good health and very happy to be reunited with her loved ones. At this time we ask that you respect her and her family's privacy in celebrating their joyful reunion. Sister Gilberte will be declining all interview requests for the moment. Once again, the sisters of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame would like to thank all of those involved in having Sister Gilberte freed and returned home safely. Our thoughts and prayers remain with all of those all over the world who are still being held captive and their families.
