The real test of success for the People's Climate March will be what happens next.

Navigating the Divide: Moving Forward with Ecologic & Economic Uncertainties

There is much concern that mining and extractive industries are a source of harm for the environment, people’s health, social harmony, indigenous justice, and land rights. But these industries are also a core part of our economy, and the industries that many people look to for prosperity for the future. How can communities weather the storm brought on by this dilemma? Taking examples from communities in Canada and around the world who are living with mines and extractive industries, we will work together to create a new perspective.

Come hear about the experience of the New York March and how we can move forward in the context of a Canadian economy closely tied to mining and extracting fossil fuels.

Can we still have jobs and growth while successfully addressing Climate Change?

See You There! For further information, please contact Sister Sue
