Windsor Court News: Continuing residence-living and pastoral ministry!

Charlotte Lockhart, CND

Continuing residence-living here in Fredericton and doing some pastoral ministry on the side gave me a wonderful opportunity to celebrate on the eve of the Feast of the Visitation. Our usual Saturday evening Communion Service was celebrated at this time. The occasion provided an opportunity to share Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys with the ladies who attend regularly. Reading the gospel of the feast (Luke 1:39-56), the story of Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys was a "natural" follow-up through from Marguerite’s coming to Ville Marie, her founding of our CND and our connection with the Visitation-Pentecost. I know this was something new to many, so I have since been able to add to the story, especially using Sister Sheila's blog on her pilgrimage to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and the unveiling of the new painting of Marguerite by Mr. Pierre Lussier. I am happy to say that my printer even printed a recognizable copy of the painting. Oh yes, I even found/was given enough "holy cards" of Marguerite to share. Saint Marguerite, Pray for us and all seniors who live in retirement homes! We are now looking forward to the annual Windsor Court Backyard BBQ on July 9th. Always fun, good food and entertainment for friends, family and children!

Happy Summer Days and Retreats to all, and many thanks to the two Eleanors who provide us with news, advice and spice! I would be remiss if I left out a Thank You to those who contribute items as well.
