Vocation News

There are women in their 30’s and 40’s who are ready to hear words of affirmation that God, indeed, may be calling them to religious life. However, some presume that they are “too old”. While it’s true that these women may be too old for some communities, they are not too old for others.

Know anyone who might be surprised and pleased by an invitation from you to attend a “Come and See” Sunday afternoon at the Villa in the Bronx?

Come and See is an afternoon of prayer and introduction to religious life. In conjunction with Sister Deanna Sabetta and her ministry at the NY Archdiocese, Peggy and Lucille have four Come and See afternoons scheduled for the months ahead. The dates are:

December 12, 2010,
January 9, 2011,
February 13, 2011,
April 10, 2011

Is there someone you can invite to these afternoons? If so, let us know and we’ll get you the details. Or simply send us her name and number and we’ll do the contacting.

The most we can do to lift up vocations in the next generation…
will be in how effectively we witness to who we are, rather than what we do.
