Reflection Day

Diane Jarvis, associate

Sr. Kay Duffin presented a Lenten day of reflection at the mother house in Montreal on Feb. 13th for the Montreal associates and their invited guests. We were twenty-one in attendance and it was a graced filled day.

Sr. Kay started off the day with the word Metanoia, repentance, change of direction, to go into our larger mind, re-wiring of our conscience to see further then what we are, going inward and outward in order to go forward... transforming our consciousness from the Spirit.

Kay used her gift of voice to sing and lead us into songs and poetry. In this Jubilee year of Mercy we were asked "Where do we need Mercy?”

We were given many scripture passages of God's great love and mercy to reflect upon. The quiet time was appreciated and led us to encounter more deeply with the living, loving and forgiving God... We were nourished by the Spirit and also by the plentiful delicious food and sharing at lunchtime. We sang Happy Birthday to Muriel Kilgour celebrating her 88th birthday. Our day ended in the Chapel where we all outstretched our hands to bless one another, a beautiful ending to a beautiful day. Thank you Sr. Kay.
