Our CND Mission

In our relationship with God and in our ministry with God's people, we are sustained by prayer, our life together, and our participation in community work. We're probably at our best when we come together to pray and celebrate.

As religious of apostolic life,
we recognize that our entire life is mission:
our prayer life, our community life
and our apostolic commitment.

Whatever be our age, our state of health,
our mandate and the milieu, in which we exercise it,
we are “persons sent for mission”
who seek to proclaim, by their entire life,
the Good News of a God of Love.

To follow Jesus
in a preferential option for the poor
and to live our mission of liberating education
in fidelity to the prophetic charism of Marguerite Bourgeoys
in today’s world, we commit ourselves to live
closer to the reality of the impoverished,
the excluded and the oppressed.

In solidarity with them, we commit ourselves
to protect our planet and to participate actively
in the transformation of Church and society
for a more just world.

The international, multicultural CND family
is called to continue the mission of Jesus in the world.
We live the charism of Marguerite Bourgeoys
within the spirituality of Visitation/Pentecost.
We are vowed members and Associates
united in mission.

Associates share our mission
Through their prayer life, their family life,
and their work and ministry in their own milieu.
