Movie Recommendation: CITIZENFOUR

CITIZENFOUR is a documentary detailing Edward Snowden's decision and actions to go public with National Security Agency (NSA) widespread collection of information both in US and internationally in the post 9-11 era. It won the 2015 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature. Whether you consider him a hero whistleblower or a traitor the film provides an inside look at the extent of governments' collection of information, raising debate and concerns about individual privacy and freedom rights' infringements. These are issues flagged as being at the heart of Bill C-51 now before Canadian parliament.

Visitation East Associate co-coordinator Discernment

Two Associates answered "YES" to the invitation to participate in the Visitation East Associate co-coordinator Discernment. We would like to thank Dianne MacAskill of Sydney and Anna Rowley of Halifax for their very generous "YES" to this call for Ministry with the Associates in NB, NS, and PEI. We ask Congregation of Notre Dame Sisters and Associates to remember Dianne and Anna in your prayers as they journey in this process. The completion of the discernment will take place in the Spring 2015.
