Greetings to Everyone in This Month of All Saints

As we begin a new month, let’s remember that not all saints are canonized. We are connecting with saints every day, so let us celebrate the saints within us and all around us.

Launch of the Japanese Version of the Website "Faith in Action "

The sisters of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame are very happy to announce the launch of the Japanese version of the virtual exhibit Faith in Action. Created in 2011, this site is the fruit of collaboration between Marguerite-Bourgeoys Museum/Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel, the Archives Services and the Communication Services of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame. Through images and texts on the history of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame since its foundation in the 17th century, this website explains the mission of the sisters of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame and provides information on the different schools they founded, ran and at which they taught. Among its different sections, you will find school manuals, portraits of superiors and a timeline.

Congregation of Notre Dame International and Provincial Justice Plans

This past summer’s International Justice Network Meeting included hearing the final report of the group which assessed the carbon footprint of the mother house and made suggestions for reducing it. We also welcomed back Ms. Bineta Ba as Chairperson of the Social Justice Network. Because of the General Chapter, we will not have a meeting next summer. While the attached International Plan is for two years, our Province Plan is for only one year.

In late November, there will be Global Marches for Climate in preparation for the Paris Meeting in December. In early December, there will be a Gun Violence Sabbath in the United States.

Thank each of you for responding as generously as you do.
