Sister Kathleen Deignan Honored By GreenFaith at Annual Celebration

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (October 25, 2010) Sister Kathleen Deignan, CNP, Ph.D., professor of religious studies and founder and director of Iona College’s Spirituality Institute, was honored at GreenFaith’s fifth annual awards celebration for her musical and liturgical contribution to the religious-environmental movement.

The event was held Saturday, October 23 at Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston, New Jersey.

November 21st OK Clean Water Brunch

The November 21st OK Clean Water Brunch provided an opportunity for the 150+ attendees to hear firsthand of the work being done in Kumbo, Cameroon.

Edwin Visi, presented a PowerPoint presentation on the work and he and Sr. Cathy Molloy answered questions. Edwin and Carmel Horan, Associate spent the next week before he returned to Cameroon visiting some of the 26 schools in Ottawa who participate in the project.

The brunch ended with a musical tribute to Sister Norma McCoy by Bob Carty.
