Ann Marie Strileckis, CND

Our new Vocation Committee, Sisters Margarita Castaneda, Eileen Dorney, Kathleen Dorney, Peggy Doyle, Eileen Good and Ann Marie Strileckis met and jelled quite well! Since we agreed wholeheartedly with #54 of the CND Formation directory, "While some sisters may receive a specific mandate for vocation ministry from provincial or regional leadership, responsibility for awakening and supporting vocations is shared by every sister and every community of the Congregation of Notre Dame. The first task of this ministry is to help the people develop an appreciation of her Baptismal call and of the variety of ways in which this call may be lived in the Church."

Sisters Margarita, Eileen D, Kathleen, Eileen G. and Peggy are ideally located regionally as well as having varied experiences in ministries to partner with any CND Sister in conversing with the women you invite. I see them as a leaven and mentor, encouraging and aiding us to see all the possibilities of communication with the women you invite to take their Baptismal call seriously, walking with them, encouraging discernment.

Encourage, Support, Invite! It is a continuation and deepening of Peggy's 40 Women. Because we all have agreed to this role, we will regularly be attending Vocation workshops and conferences. I will be in Chicago in July for one and Peggy, Eileen Good and I hope to attend Buffalo's workshop in November. Filling out the Vocation Team are the sisters who have agreed to aid women who are seriously discerning entering the CND. In addition to Peggy, they are Sisters Alla Ann Boyle and Ann Perrin.
