Associates News

West Haven Associates Jan and Judi and a friend made warm blankets for the homeless in Waterbury, CT, in support of Sr. Patricia McCarthy’s ministry with the homeless. All Congregation de Notre-Dame Associates are involved in service projects throughout the year.  This year as we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Associate Relationship, we are all invited to complete three individual actions and one action with our local associate group.  Together for the life of the world, may we be Transforming Love – written in every heart.

On January 12, 2022, Associates, Sisters, Candidates and Friends gathered to pray, sing, and celebrate Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys’s Feast Day and the 40th Anniversary of Associate Relationship. The theme of the celebration was “Transforming Love”. We had at least 100 attendees via zoom. As we celebrate the Associate Relationship 40th Anniversary of this year we are invited to look at both our identity and our mission, from Marguerite’s desire and dream to our present-day mission as carriers of Marguerite’s charism.

Unfortunately, the January trip had to be canceled, but another is planned for late March-early April, and there is a hope for an early May expedition as well. The San Diego Catholic Charities serving immigrants is deeply grateful for the the funds we sent.
