We thank you most sincerely for your prayerful support which obtained for us the courage to rebuild. We are most grateful too for the financial assistance received from Catholic and related charities not only in Japan but from all over the world; also for the aid received from our national, prefectural and city governments. The completion of this kindergarten building is a bright symbol of a fresh start after the Great Earthquake and the nuclear plant disaster.

Bishop Hiraga pronounces the blessing

On September 7 of this year, the dedication ceremony was held, with Bishop Tetsuo Hiraga of Sendai Diocese officiating. The celebration was solemn yet heart-warming, and echoes of it reached not only Fukushima but national news as well. It was seen as the fruit of the passionate enthusiasm with which the people of Fukushima are striving to rise again.
