Dedication of Rooms On November 23, the Religious Orders of Kingston were recognized for their years of teaching in the Catholic School System in this area.

Four meeting rooms at the Board Office of the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board were dedicated as follows: Bishop Alexander MacDonell, Congregation of Notre Dame, Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul, and The Society of Jesus In this "Celebration of Our Legacy," the Chairman of the Board expressed gratitude for the dedication to Religious Education and the history and development of schools. 

Most Reverend Bishop O'Brien presided in a prayer of Thanksgiving and Dedication. Each Community responded in appreciation for the recognition and remembrance. Josephine Nestman, CND expressed gratitude on behalf of the Congregation of Notre Dame. Josephine Nestman, CND A Day of Reflection was offered at St. Joseph Renewal Centre, Mabou on Saturday, November 27. 

Presenters were Carl and Peg Madigan. Sisters, Associates and other members of the area appreciated the input given, the reflection on Jesus, Mary and Marguerite and the sharing which followed launching us into the season of Advent. We are indeed grateful for this prayerful time. 

Catherine MacEachern, CND Culture of Youth: The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board held System Faith Day at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School in Kingston and St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School in Belleville for all employees of the Board.

The Sisters on the Intercommunity Vocation Committee were invited to present a workshop which they entitled "Bearers of Hope in a Complex World."

Sisters Josephine Nestman and Barbara Prior participated in Kingston and Belleville respectively along with Sisters of the Religious Hospitaliers of St. Joseph and the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul. It was a very positive experience for all.
